Located just south of Burlington, Richmond Vermont is a historic town in Chittenden county. The town of Richmond is divided by the Winooski River and I-89. Located in Richmond is what is considered to be the first community church in the entire United States, the Round Church. The Round Church is an often photographed, sixteen-sided structure, built-in 1813 – 1814. Richmond is home to several historic sites and buildings including the Blue Seal Feeds building (below) which was built in 1854. Huntington Gorge – a Vermont scenic site is located in Richmond as well.
