The executive branch consists of the state governor and elected officials, the legislative branch consists of both the House of Representatives and the State Senate, and the judicial branch consists of the Vermont Supreme Court. Vermont Governor’s Award
The State of Vermont would like to honor your environmentally friendly actions. If you have taken the time to conserve and protect natural resources or help prevent pollution – you may win.
Applications are accepted every year. Check the website for details. The Vermont Governor’s Awards for Environmental Excellence is an annual tradition. Applications are encouraged from individuals, businesses, industry, and trade or professional organizations, Environmental, Community, and Non-Profit Organizations, Hospitals, Municipalities, Schools, Teachers, Students and Public Agencies.
The Vermont Governor’s Awards began in 1993 to recognize the actions taken by Vermonters to conserve and protect natural resources, prevent pollution, and promote environmental sustainability.
More than 175 award-winning efforts have thus far been recognized. Environmentally friendly projects help to protect the environment, conserve energy and reduce greenhouse gasses.
