Brookfield has a rock engraved with the Lord’s Prayer. “Lord’s Prayer Rock” was put there to discourage passerbys from “swearing and cussing”, according to local lore. Brookfield, Vermont hosts an annual July 4th parade and celebration on the towns Main street. Brookfield is the home of the famous Brookfield Floating Bridge – which was upgraded and re-opened in August of 2015.
