Washington, Vermont 05675
Washington VT Lodging, Real Estate, Travel & Visitor Information
Washington was once known as Kingsland and was the county seat of Glouchester County before it was populated. Initial town commerce was based on sheep farming and wool mills. This changed with the advancement of the American railroad system to dairy farming and the development of a local creamery. Today, Washington is no longer an agricultural town, but more of a bedroom community for commuters to nearby Barre, Montpelier and Burlington.
