Ski VT – Ski Area Updates
At America’s Favorite Family Resort – Smugglers’ Notch in Jeffersonville, the focus is on fun and families this award-winning resort has it all. FunZone 2.0 – expands the fun and cooperates when the weather doesn’t. FunZone 2.0 is the Resort’s 26,000 square foot indoor Family Fun Complex. This amazing facility provides activities for all ages, interests, and skill levels in a state-of-the-art facility that rocks. So, the great skiing and snowboarding is just the beginning. An expansion of Family Activities is on at Smuggs. 
The popular torchlight parade and fireworks, belting out tunes in family karaoke and building a sled to launch from a jump in I-Did-A-Sled are back and better than ever. Smuggles’ Notch Resort adds craft sessions, broomball challenges, scavenger hunts, Snow Cat tours, storytimes, and pool games to all the skiing, boarding, and skating fun. In Southern Vermont, it’s a go for a new Snow Bowl. Capital projects totaling $109 million will make your Stratton Mountain experience better than ever with a new high-speed Snow Bowl lift. Stratton is now part of Alterra Mountain Company. Stratton hosted Vermont’s first World Cup races back in 1978.
Ski Okemo. The winter fun is much more than just skiing at Okemo Mountain Resort. At Okemo’s Jackson Gore the fun includes both indoor and outdoor activities like ice skating, snow tubing, mountain coaster rides, snowmobile tours, SnowCat excursions and more. Indoor swimming pools, a fitness center, and spa services will help you relax and unwind. Dining and lodging options include Vermont’s Castle Hill Resort, and other Ludlow and Cavendish hotels.
In Killington, Killington Resort has invested $16 million in major upgrades, including a new 6-person high-speed bubble chairlift to the K-1 Express Gondola. There’s also RFID technology at both Killington and Pico and many trail enhancements, especially on the intermediate trails. Killington pushing a new all-year pass called Beast365, a real value for a year full of outdoor fun.
Making snow at Stowe Mountain Resort
Go Stowe for expanded winter fun for all at Stowe Mountain Resort. Ice Skate for free daily. The Stowe Ice Skating Rink is located just steps from the Spruce Camp Base Lodge. Stowe Mountain Lodge and the Adventure Center is where the Ice Rink at Spruce Peak Village Center is located. The ice skating rink is free, just bring your ice skates or rent them from the resort. The all-new Stowe Rocks Climbing Center is now open. This state-of-the-art facility is located in the Adventure Center of Stowe Mountain Resort. The Stowe Rocks Climbing Center features climbing challenges for the young and old. Stowe Rocks is a member of the Climbing Wall Association which includes participation in the ClimbSmart!® Program.
