Downtown Burlington VT Annual Road Race Event – Run Vermont
The City Marathon (aka Burlington City Marathon is one of the largest road races in New England. The Vermont City Marathon was established in 1989. Each year City Marathon attracts more than 7,500 runners and 20,000 spectators to Burlington – Vermont’s largest city..The race is fueled by enthusiast Vermonters and local musicians providing a colorful excitement to this race. Burlington Drivers will likely encounter significant traffic delays during this event. Traffic slowdowns include blocked roads and long delays beginning as early as 7:00 am on race days.
